Non-Federal Halfway House

The Non-Federal Halfway House also provides beds for clients who are in need of a structured, supportive living environment, but do not need the intensity of treatment services provided in our 30 bed RTC. Women or men who are 18 years of age or older, and no longer meet criteria for intensive Residential Treatment or are receiving outpatient services and have a poor recovery environment, can be referred into the halfway house facility for maximum of 90 days. This program is designed to enhance the application of recovery skills, prevent relapse, promote personal responsibility and reintegrate the resident into the world of work, education and family life. Support services provided to the resident include individual and group counseling, case management services, and self-help meetings. During placement in Halfway House services, clients are required to complete the Life Skills program, attend a minimum of 5 hours of counseling weekly, obtain employment, and open a savings account in order to enhance independent living skills.
