The Emergency Services Department provides crisis intervention 24 hours/7day/week to anyone regardless of their age in our two county area. The crisis staff focuses on assessing the following issues with the goal to facilitate appropriate referrals for the recommended clinical services for the particular individual and/or family members:
- Behavioral problems
- Emotional issues
- Family conflict
- Lockouts
- Mental health issues
- Runaways
- Substance abuse issues
- Youth refusing to return home
The Emergency Services staff respond to telephone calls from individuals in the community, to any individuals who walk-in to anyone of this agency’s offices, to providing crisis assessments in the community at such places as; the county jails, Illinois Department of Children and Family Services office, the local hospitals, nursing homes, physician’s offices, police departments, schools, sheriff departments, social service agencies, and other locations.
The Emergency Services department consists of the manager, four full-time Emergency Therapists and several contractual emergency staff who are available to provide crisis intervention anytime of the day or night.
The Emergency Services department provides an after-hours telephone number for our community referral sources in order to facilitate after-hour face-face crisis assessment services at a neutral site as the hospital, police station, or etc.
