Foundation

The Foundation for Human Services was incorporated in August 1998 as a 501c3 non-profit organization.  The purpose of the foundation is to provide financial support to the programs and services of The H Group.  Before the foundation was created, different programs or employees of The H Group would be involved in independent fundraising.  The foundation provided the agency a method of diversifying its income sources without taking away focus from staff serving the clients.

There have been many fundraisers that the foundation has organized over the past 11 years, there has been raffles, auctions, fundraising dinners, and more.  However, the two primary fundraisers have been an annual golf tournament that is held at the Franklin County Country Club and the annual Bocce Tournament that is held in Herrin, Illinois.

The Foundation Board meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month during the noon hour.  During each meeting, foundation members respond to request from the division directors for donations to various programs.  The board members of The Foundation for Human Services are:

Carol Zwick President
Don Nolen Vice President
Jay Bussler Secretary/Treasurer
